Ingredients:
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter
- ½ cup (100g) dark chocolate (chopped)
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch (20x20cm) pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chopped chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler or in the microwave (stirring every 30 seconds). Let it cool slightly.
- Whisk in granulated & brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla; whisk vigorously for about 1 minute until the mixture becomes glossy.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the ingredients until just combined (do not overmix).
- Stir in chocolate chips (if using).
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is just set but still slightly gooey.
- Let cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing for the best fudgy texture.
Tips for Perfect Fudgy Brownies:
- Use good-quality dark chocolate for intense flavor.
- Don’t overbake—slightly underbaked brownies = extra fudgy!
- For extra richness, chill the brownies for a few hours before serving.
