Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cubed)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken
    • Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Season the cubed chicken with garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    • Cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. Sauté Garlic & Start the Sauce
    • In the same pot, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Cook the Pasta
    • Pour in chicken broth, heavy cream, and milk. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Add pasta and stir to prevent sticking. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  4. Add Chicken & Cheese
    • Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the cooked chicken and Parmesan cheese. Mix well until the sauce thickens and coats the pasta.
    • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth to loosen it up.
  5. Serve & Garnish
    • Sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using) and fresh parsley.
