Topping:

  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (optional, for crunch)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
  2. Mix the Base:
    • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and cayenne pepper (if using). Beat until smooth and well-mixed.
  3. Add Cheeses and Crab:
    • Stir in the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and crab meat. Be gentle to avoid breaking up the crab too much.
  4. Assemble the Dip:
    • Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top and sprinkle with the additional mozzarella, Parmesan, and breadcrumbs (if using).
  5. Bake:
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  6. Garnish and Serve:

Tips:

  • Use fresh lump crab meat for the best flavor, but canned or imitation crab can work in a pinch.
