Ingredients

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

For the Garlic Sauce:

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce for vegetarian)
  • 1 tbsp honey (or keto-friendly sweetener)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (or arrowroot powder for thickening)
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

1. Prep the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add shrimp, season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Stir-Fry the Broccoli

  • In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.
  • Add broccoli and garlic, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.

4. Combine & Serve

  • Return shrimp to the pan and pour in the prepared garlic sauce.
  • Stir well and cook for 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot over steamed rice, cauliflower rice (for keto), or noodles.

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds or chopped green onions for extra flavor.
