For the Chicken:
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced in half lengthwise (or 4 small fillets)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp flour (or almond flour for keto)
- 2 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
For the Creamy Lemon Sauce:
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup chicken broth (or white wine)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut cream for dairy-free)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Season & Sear the Chicken
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika, then lightly coat with flour.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Creamy Lemon Sauce
- In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the pan to deglaze.
- Stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, zest, and Italian seasoning.
3️⃣ Simmer & Serve
- Return chicken to the pan and let simmer for 5 minutes, until sauce thickens.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese (if using).
