This Honey Soy-Glazed Salmon is sweet, savory, and perfectly caramelized with a delicious garlic-ginger glaze. It’s an easy and healthy meal that comes together in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients
For the Salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Sesame seeds & green onions, for garnish (optional)
For the Honey Soy Glaze:
- ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
1. Make the Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
2. Sear the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the edges start turning opaque.
3. Glaze & Cook
- Flip the salmon and pour the honey soy glaze over the fillets.
- Reduce heat to medium and cook for another 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon as it thickens.
4. Serve & Garnish
- Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
- Serve over steamed rice, quinoa, or sautéed veggies.

✅ Oven-Baked Option: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, basting with glaze halfway through.
✅ Air Fryer Option: Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, brushing with glaze before serving.
