Paloma Rosa

Must Try

The Paloma Rosa is a refreshing and vibrant twist on the classic Paloma cocktail, incorporating the delicate flavor of grapefruit with a touch of floral elegance. Here’s how to make this beautiful drink:

Paloma Rosa

Servings: 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila blanco
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ½ oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • ½ oz simple syrup (or agave syrup for a natural sweetener)
  • 2 oz sparkling rosé wine (or sparkling water for a lighter version)
  • Salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Grapefruit slice (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint or rosemary sprig (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rim the Glass (Optional):
    • If desired, rim your glass with salt. To do so, rub a lime wedge around the edge of the glass and dip it into salt to coat.
  2. Mix the Drink:
    • In a shaker, combine the tequila, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add ice and shake well for about 15 seconds.
  3. Pour and Top:
    • Fill your rimmed glass with ice and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
    • Top with sparkling rosé wine for a fizzy, effervescent finish (or sparkling water for a lighter, less sweet version).
  4. Garnish:
    • Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of fresh mint or rosemary for a lovely aromatic touch.

Tips

  • Adjust Sweetness: Add more simple syrup or agave syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter drink.
  • Mocktail Version: Omit the tequila and replace it with additional sparkling rosé or grapefruit juice for a refreshing non-alcoholic option.
