40-Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Soft, fluffy, and packed with cinnamon-sugar goodness—these quick & easy cinnamon rolls come together in just 40 minutes!

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour for extra fluffiness)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 large egg (or flax egg: 1 tbsp flaxseed + 2.5 tbsp water)

For the Cinnamon Filling:

  • ⅓ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1️⃣ Make the Dough (10 Minutes)

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead for 3-5 minutes until smooth. Let rest for 5 minutes.

2️⃣ Roll & Fill (5 Minutes)

  • Roll dough into a 10×14-inch rectangle.
  • Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar & cinnamon evenly.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long side, then slice into 9-12 rolls.

3️⃣ Quick Rise & Bake (25 Minutes)

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rest 5 minutes.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

4️⃣ Glaze & Serve

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls & enjoy!
